City Sunset

April 2001 & March 2005 (final rendering)

Almost the finale image from Ultor Romae, although this one is re-rendered at a higher resolution 1024 x 768 and the Imperial Palace is still intact (the movie version shows a destroyed Imperial palace which I believe is not visible in the final cut due to a character's head being in the way). This time, instead of using 32 lights to simulate soft shadows, I simply used LightWave's interpolated radiosity, which is faster and easier to set up. It's really easy to see that the model here was never intended to be used at such higher resolutions, the details are lacking.
